Tom Parkes
Director of Tennis

Tom Parkes joined Pine Valley as our Tennis Professional in 2004. Tom graduated from the American Intercontinental University with a degree in Business Administration and then went on to pursue his career as a tennis professional. He gained his experience at Bonaventure Resort and Spa, FL., Harry Hopman Tennis Academy, FL.,Egyptian Tennis Federation, Egypt and The West Side Tennis Club, SC. Tom has received many awards and recognition throughout his tennis career.

• High School Tennis All American
• Two time Junior College Tennis All American
• Part Time USTA National Team Coach 1991-1993
• Awarded the “Egyptian Presidential Award for Sports Excellence” for most improved sport standings in a 12 month period
• Received an award from the Arab Tennis federation Technical Committee for most improved junior tennis program
• Received the 1999 club of the year award from the South Carolina Tennis Association
• Received USTA North Carolina Teaching Professional of the year award in 2008
• Vice President of the USPTA of NC
